The Navajo Nation, a culturally rich Native American tribe is located in the
southwest region of the United States surrounded by its four Sacred Mountains.
This presentation takes a look at the mountains; their meaning and their
location. Mathematical subjects such as college algebra and trigonometry are
utilized to explore the mountains further. Several interesting mathematical
results were found in connection with the Navajo culture.
